Psychoanalytic writings and music have become Zilien’s compass, guiding him into realms as vast as they are intimate. His work oscillates between dreamscapes and fragmented realities, where the boundaries of the tangible dissolve into the ethereal.
Through techniques like automatism, he tap into the subconscious allowing the raw, unfiltered pulse of his inner world to guide his hand. This process reveals symbols and connections that he could not have consciously imagined, often threading together fragments of dreams, emotions, and his personal memories.

Zilien’s journey began at the Mahatma Gandhi Institute’s School of Fine Arts in Mauritius, where he graduated with a B.A in Fine Art Summa cum laude. He learned to see art not merely as a technique, but as a profound way of experiencing and interpreting the world. This passion carried him for his Masters degree to the École des Beaux-Arts in Marseille, where he pursued his studies further and allowed his voice as an artist to mature and deepen. This latter earned him distinction "Very Honorable, with Committee Praise"
